But somehow nothing happens when I listen to this, which is the original
Hi Sumeet
Some songs in Vansh have the same tunes as the original. Since Ilaiyaraja has composed for the original i guess there is a similarity to Sadma
This Asha Bhosle number my friends is "as good as it gets" - musically (composition), vocally, lyrically and visually....
Film - Hum Dono.
Music - Jaidev.
Lyrics - Saahir Ludhianvi.
Singer - Asha Bhosle.
( Do not forget to listen to the magical words by Saahir sahab and how stunning Saadhnaji looks..)

Music is Art....
I heard this same song live played on Trumpet by none other than KISHORE SODHA ji who was the main Trumpet player in the RD Burman troop. I have never heard trumpet sound so sweet and glorious. Thank fully someone has uploaded the Video on youtube, watch the full video, it grows on you:
Since I attended this concert I always look forward for the trumpet while listening to any RD Burman number![]()

I only had a glimpse of this era and I miss it so much. I really dislike what everything has become now![]()
Yes corelement, if u speak of music then i too really dislike what everything has become now...
But, the decline in music is also followed by a gradual improvement in the quality of MOVIES that r being produced today.... i mean, not the mainstream hindi films but a lot of low budget hindi and mostly regional films.... some fascinating and original work done there...
So i think u lose some and u gain some....
Also u can always catch-up on the missed era by listening to the old classics today.... thats what i do all the time... i too am yet to discover a lot of old beauties...
Take for example this beauty...
Film - Maya.
Music - Salil Chaudhary.
Lyrics - Majhrooh Sultanpuri.
Singer - Lata and DWIJEN MUKHERJEE (now i was so convinced that the male singer here was Hemantda and i still find it difficult to tell the difference between the two... Maybe some bangla guys who have heard Dwijenda more than i have would be able to make out....)))
Anyway its a lovely song.... evergreen salilda....
audio is engineering,
Music is Art....
The film Maya has such a beautiful soundtrack btw...
All the songs r topnotch....
Song - Ja re ud ja re panchi.
Film - Maya.
Music - Salil Chaudhary.
Lyrics - Majhrooh Sultanpuri.
Singer - Lataji.

I've been trying to find high quality recordings of Salil Chaudhary's bengali songs but cant find them. Any idea where to get?
i have been told that u get tonnes of vinyls on the streets of Kolkata... Its the easiest and cheapest place to find vinyls... And u cannot go wrong with quality of recordings with vinyls....
I have a few by Hemantda and Burman dada, but none by Salilda.... Will try and search for them...
